Welcome to Mount Alford

Mount Alford is just 10 minutes from Boonah. It is a rich farming area surrounded by the picturesque mountains of Mt Greville, Mt Moon and Mt Edwards with stunning views to the Main Range.

Originally known as “Reckumpilla”, a store, school and church were built in the late 1880s. Later a cemetery, war memorial and other churches were established.

The Mount Alford School of Arts built in 1906 is heritage listed.  The very popular Artisan Markets are held here 4 times a year.

The area is home to the Scenic Rim Brewery, Bunjurgen Estate Winery and Kooroomba Lavender Farm, all very popular destinations for a great day out.  This is a much sought after location for weddings, conferences and events.

Mount Alford is close to walking trails in the Moogerah Peaks National Park. It is also close to Lake Moogerah, which is popular for camping, waterskiing, jet skiing, boating and fishing. The area offers a diversity of flora and fauna, bushwalks and stunning views.
