Incorporation

The Boonah District Chamber of Commerce Inc was incorporated on 15th November 1995.

2000's

Growth

The Chamber continues to grow, supporting scores of members, reflecting the vibrant business community in Boonah.

2010's

The Chamber continues to provide community engagement through new and long-standing events and initiatives.

Early 2020's

Adapting to Change

During the challenging times of 2020, the Chamber adapted to support local businesses affected by the pandemic.

We continue to be the leading voice for business in the Boonah district, with over 150 members.

Our Heritage

Our Story

The Boonah District Chamber of Commerce was re-established through the initiative and leadership of then-Mayor John Brent, who recognised the importance of a strong local business network to support the region's growth and prosperity.

With the valuable assistance of the late Rick Enright, a well-respected and active member of the Beaudesert Chamber of Commerce, John Brent chaired the inaugural meeting, held at the old School of Arts, drawing a overwhelming attendance in excess of 200 people, demonstrating the community's enthusiasm for the initiative.

Following the meeting, the Chamber's first executive was established, with local solicitor David Boylson elected as President and then-Council CEO, Ian Flint appointed as Secretary. This marked the beginning of a new era of cooperation, advocacy, and community spirit that continues to underpin the Chamber's work to this day.
